The President [Jane S. Richards] and Councilors [Harriet C. Brown and Sarah A. Herrick] with other officers and members of the Society have held fourteen meetings in different parts of the county.

At two of these they were accompanied by Sister E. R. Snow. Two new Relief Societies, and two Mutual Improvement Associations have been organised.

Sister Eliza R. Snow Sister Richards wishes me to speak a few words. I see quite a number of little children boys & girls I feel as interested in their welfare as in yours young or old. And I hope they will not get so tired but what they can come this afternoon. I feel the Sisters have a great privilege in having these meetings I consider them of great importance consequence. The character of Society depends much on what the sisters are doing.

I have been visiting in Cache Valley & Brigham City and it encourages me to find so many sisters strug[g]ling to do something, when we combine all our efforts it Amounts to considerable. We may not live to see the amount of good that results from our labors—We are striving to acclompilish [accomplish] good for the rising generation—We are only laying the foundation, we want to see it such as to amount in good.

We are mortal beings, we should set our mark high and have an eye to his glory. Just so far as I have the privilege of blessing my sisters I feel to do so. God bless you my sisters. Let us keep the great object in view and be more united which is my constant desire.
