Sister Elizah R. Snow was well pleased with the programme <and> knew there were hundreds who could do just the same

Told they boys they would be called on missions, <and> Primary Associations were to teach them how to preach the gospel, <and> if they attended regularly they would know more of the Gospel than men of fifty, who did not have these priveleges

Thought members of the church did not realize the importance of having children trained while little before they got the evil spirits into their innocent hearts. It should be their prayers <and> [p. 57] desires to train them in the ways of the Gospel, <and> if done so while young they would be inspired by the Holy Spirit. Said they should be trained to grow up noble, mighty <and> faithful like those who went to battle with so much faith.

Though as a general thing mothers had no time to answer their childrens questions this was wrong, mothers should never turn children from them, but make them their first consideration.

Said Presidents of Associations should always be punctual at meetings <and> always counsel with their counsellors, as it was not right to go forward without <and> the Lord would not bless <any> woman who did not.

Though Presidents <and> counsellors have the confidence of each other, and let their actions be honest with the children, and when the donations were made for the Temple, use it for that.

Told the children the gift of “Tongues” was in the church, and all who would believe it <and> beseech prophecy <and> disernment, it would follow them. After speaking in Tongues, she told of a woman singing in the pure language, spoken in the Garden of Eden.

Hoped all would learn all they could about the Lord and grow up a happy people.
