Sister E. R. S. Smith: expressed her pleasure in meeting with us, was delighted with the exercises and to hear all respond so willingly when calld upon. Hoped none would be tempted to withdraw from the Association for fear of being called upon to take a part for all can do something if they will only try. We can all remember our first attempt, we have to go little by little step by step we cannot attain to perfection at once, and there is no excellence without labor, the Lord has given you faculties which you must develop you have the opportunity of development and self improvement. These Associations are the places in which you can improve, and hear many things that will benefit you. Said there is a great work before the young, they will be called to fill [p. 50] important positions. Urged them to improve every opportunity, cultivate faith in God knew He would help those who trust Him. seek to qualify yourselves for future usefulness. be pure in your thoughts and actions. be kind, and good every-day, have prayerful hearts and prepare yourselves to mingle with the angels. Prayed the Lord to bless us with His Holy Spirit and that we may continue to improve.
