I. From the Utah Stake Minutes

After the reading of the reports, Sister [Margaret T.] Smoot said we would now hear from the different Presidents was anxious to hear from all present, for as sister Eliza R Snow said by so doing we should know of what manner of spirits your are

Was taken up with remarks from Pres’t Sister Smoot, E R Snow Bp Halliday [George Halladay] giving a great deal of good instructions pertaining to home manufacture, and various other subjects

II. From the Woman’s Exponent

Evening Session opened by singing and prayer. Sister [Margaret T.] Smoot said we have met to continue our meeting as a Stake Conference; and we are blessed with the company of our beloved Sister E. R. Snow, and will hear from her. Sister Snow spoke of the duties of the sisters of the Relief Societies; the great good they can do in various ways, in helping the needy and strengthening the hands of the brethren; spoke on silk-culture and other home industries, straw manufacturing, etc.; she exhorted the sisters to be humble and prayerful, doing their duty in all things, that they might be saved in the Kingdom of God. [. . .] [p. 81]1
