[. . .] Counselor E. R. Snow then spoke, mostly concerning the Territorial Fair now about to open; she understood that some people had received the impression that articles brought were a donation; this was not so; they had told every one from the first that unless specimens were ticketed for sale, every article would be returned to its owner, and no sacrifice made whatever, etc. [. . .] Counselor E. R. Snow then introduced to the assemblage Mrs. [Phebe C.] Woodruff [. . .] [p. 18]
