[. . .] Sister Snow was pleased to see with the Report for the year. Asked if what Sisters she saw before her were all the Virtuous there was in this Ward, that Joseph [Smith] said that all virtuous sisters that were Latterday Saints should belong to this Society. Wished us a happy New Year. Showed us how to be happy: & said as we have commenced the Year, let us have a will, & let it be strong to carry out the principles of the Gospil: that Woman fell & that the Gospil was calculated to exalt & raise her to her former position & also man by obediance. That the Bishop has a right to Counsel & advize [advise]: not to speak our thoughts but strive to overcome. [. . .] [n.p.]
[. . .] Sister Snow desired to know of the Bishop [Elijah F. Sheets] if what sisters she saw was all the virtuous ones there was in the ward he said he though not. Spoke of an organization or association in Ogdon of Young Ladies that they enjoyed them better than other places of amusment. That the Spirit of God was with them. That their meetings were Spirited that they they spoke Alternately & beautiful & that where they have these meetings organized she felt that a refformation will be shure to follow amoungst the Young.
