Called for the purpose of receiving instructions from Sisters E. R. Snow. M. I. [Mary Isabella] Horne <and> S. [Serepta] M. Heywood. [. . .] Sister E. R. Snow said I know you have good meetings by the Minits we have heard read. Children you must always say “Amen” when the speaker has finished, do you know the meaning of “Amen”? I will tell you it means “so be it.” You must be good boys and girls, and then you will be good men and women. When your mothers give you money [p. 6] to buy candy, instead of buying candy give your money into the treasury, and when there is a few dollars one of you little boys or girls make a move that the money be given to the Temple. The Lord is the Docter of the Latterday Saints, when any of you little boys or girls are sick ask your mother to send for the Elders to administer to you, if there is no Elders, ask your father to administer to you, if your father is not present ask your mother to administer to you. Pray for the sick. The Prophet Joseph [Smith] said teach the little children to pray Little children you must <not> steal it is very wrong. We want you little children to be orderly, to be as orderly as the Indians, you may think the Indians are not orderly, but they are very orderly in meeting they will set very still so as to be able to hear every word that the preacher has to say, they do not talk and laugh in meetings as the white people do. I hope you little children will try to come to your meetings and pay attention to what is said to you. I ask the Lord to bless you all. Amen.
