Coun. Miss. E. R. Snow said,
When we have some thing great to perform we set our minds to accomplish it. Before we came to earth, we consented to let all the recollection of our former existence be taken from us, and commenced life anew. The grand purpose of our present life is to fulfill our missions in such a way and manner as to get back to our Father in Heaven and all our former holy associations. [n.p.]
God has revealed to us His everlasting gospel, which is calculated to bring us back into His presence and to crown us with life and glory. The U. [United] Order is one of the principles contained in this gospel, and if there is any sacrifice atached to it what is that compared with the glory that we will be crowned with in eternity. The holy priesthood is the government of God, and we receive it by human imstrumentality. Then should we question any thing that is revealed to us? No, but on the contrary, feel that every thing in the Kingdom is, that we may become pure and truly faithful. I am satisfied that this United Order is just what we need and that Jackson County [Missouri] could not be built up without it. Then let us go into it with all our hearts.
