Bishop <A. O.> Smoot, who with his wife stopped at my house last night, started this morning with myself for the East, he to go to Philadelphia, I to go to Washington. Sister Smoot and Bro. S. son Owen accompanied us to Ogden; Elder John Taylor & Woodruff also went up there. Bro. F. D. Richards and my son Franklin and others came to the platform at Ogden to see us off.
