Nels John Johnson was born to Andrew Johnson and Elna Pietronella Pherson on 12 June 1856 in Sweden. His family immigrated to Utah Territory in 1859. He was married to Agnes Murray Johnson and worked as a farmer. Johnson resided in Tooele, Utah, for seventy-two years, dying there on 22 November 1932.[1]
