Joseph Cross Orme was born to Samuel W. Orme and Sarah Cross on 1 August 1860 in Tooele, Utah Territory. He married Margaret England on 27 June 1888 in the Logan Temple and served a mission in Tennessee from 1893 to 1895. He also served in the church as a patriarch, bishop’s counselor, high council member, counselor in a stake presidency, and bishop of the Tooele North Ward. In Tooele, Orme worked as a city marshal, city councilman, mayor, and county commissioner. After Margaret died in 1910, he married Gertrude E. Eyre in 1912 in the Salt Lake Temple. He moved his family to Idaho in 1915 and died in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on 25 September 1933.[1]
