Thomas Callister

1821 — 1880

Born on Isle of Man; baptized in 1841; immigrated to Nauvoo, Illinois, in 1842; reached Salt Lake Valley in 1847; called as bishop of Seventeenth Ward in 1855; served as major in Nauvoo Legion during Utah War; called to Millard County in 1861; served as bishop, stake president, and patriarch; elected to several terms in Utah territorial legislature; died in Fillmore, Utah.
