Reddin Alexander Allred

1822 — 1900

Twin brother of Reddick Allred; born in Farmington, Tennessee; baptized in 1833; married Julia Ann Bates in Nauvoo, Illinois, in 1843; served mission in Hawai‘i, 1853–55; labored on islands of Maui, Hawai‘i, and Kaua‘i (where he served as conference president); married GQC’s younger sister Leonora as a plural wife in 1857 (marriage ended in divorce); subsequently lived many years in Tooele, Utah; died in Thatcher, Arizona.
