Lydia Brown

1780 — 1865

Born in Wilton, New Hampshire; sailed to Hawai‘i in 1834, part of seventh company sent out by ABCFM; associated with Wailuku Female Seminary, 1835–40, primarily teaching native girls the domestic arts; labored in Kalua‘aha, Moloka‘i, 1840–57, operating a school for girls; died in Honolulu.
