Elijah Spray was born on 27 January 1847 in Ryhall, England to William Spray and Ann Lowe. He first married Maria Osborne on 25 April 1874 in Yorkshire, England. They came to Utah Territory in 1878. After Maria died, Spray married Alice Tarrant on 29 November 1883 in Lake View, Utah Territory. He served two terms as county clerk for Tooele County. Spray died on 13 February 1903 in Tooele County, Utah.[1]
