Abraham Owen Woodruff was born to Wilford Woodruff and Emma Smith on 23 November 1872 just south of Salt Lake City, Utah Territory. He served as a missionary in the Swiss-German Mission from 1893 to 1896. On 30 June 1896, he married Helen May Winters. He was appointed a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in October 1896. Woodruff died in El Paso, Texas, on 20 June 1904.[1]
