Edward Martin Allison Jr.

13 December 1863 — 20 May 1926

Born 13 Dec. 1863 at Lehi, Utah Co., Utah Territory.[1] Son of Edward Martin Allison and Eliza Brown.[2] Graduated from the University of Deseret, 1884.[3] Admitted to the Utah bar, 3 Feb. 1887.[4] Prominent lawyer in Summit, Weber, and Salt Lake Counties, Utah Territory.[5] Married first Rowene Cooke, 13 Nov. 1890, at Ogden, Weber Co.[6] Elected to the Ogden City Council, 14 Feb. 1891.[7] Served as assistant U.S. district attorney for Utah Territory, 1891–1893.[8] Served in the Utah Senate, 1896–1904; selected as president of the senate, Dec. 1902.[9] Served as Ogden city attorney, 1898.[10] Divorced, Aug. 1917, in Salt Lake City.[11] Married second Frona E. Garst, 26 Nov. 1918, in Chicago.[12] Appointed to the U.S. Shipping Board, July 1921.[13] Died 20 May 1926 in Washington, DC; buried in Ogden.[14]
